Although my family is here,close. We didnt have traditions. When I moved to my own place,I began my own. I hang a stocking and I put up a tree. My husband and I would invite others over for dinner. I have watched "White Christmas" for the past 35 years on Christmas Eve maybe longer and make a point of listening to Christmas music. I have continued these traditions while our family has grown and as our kids have moved away. If it is just you and your babys,shop and wrap,make traditions that you think you will keep all of your life. Even if it is making a gingerbread house or two and giving them to your neighbors. We have made anywhere from 8 (this year) to 36 ( a few years ago) and given them to friends and family.
