i was worried too when Brew started losing his (started at 5 months). the little front teeth were gone in a flash, but i have been able to save 4-5 of the back teeth and these ones are even more crazy jagged. but that's only because i had been playing with him when those ones came out, and it was a mad scramble between the two of us to get to it first.
you would have to be right on them though to keep one (or at least in my case). Brew goes wild trying to get them once they are out to try to eat them. i had one out sitting on a coffee table. I had come home on my lunch break and noticed one in the back hanging on by a tiny thread. i helped him get it out because i was worried the same as you about the jagged edge, plus i was going back to work for 3 hours so i didn't want him to choke on it etc etc. so once i got it out it was a mad rush to get back to work in time and i didn't put it away properly
my husband came home before me and let Brew out of his pen. he bee-lined for the table and i hadn't told him that the tooth was there. needless to say by the time i came home the tooth was looong gone.
so much for that one! he's been totally fine though. |
