I miss going to see the Christmas lights and store window displays on State Street in Chicago. Ice skating in Daley Plaza. Now that Marshall Field's is gone, I'm not sure if it is as nice.
I'm too old and cold-blooded now to go to the tree lighting ceremony on the White House Ellipse in Washington, DC.
We usually stay home and listen to lots of Christmas music, play with the doggies, and video conference with the family back in Chicago. |
Wow what is the tree lighting ceremony of the White House. I've not heard of it.
Awh touching base with family is so great to do, and of course being with the doggies is the best ever.
My best and long term friend, when I only had one dog and she had one, we used to have the dogs at each other's houses. But now I have three, and she still one. But her Penny and my crew just don't do so well together. So now when we go over Xmas Eve, I leave pups at home, and when she comes Xmas day she leaves her pup at home.
