Wow. I'm glad I live over 2000 miles from my MIL. Shes a nice person, but shes annoying as hell and does stick her nose in other peoples business. But not nearly as bad as these people you're talking about. I feel bad for my hubby, cause he has my dad as a FIL. My dad......yeah hes pretty mean to anyone but me.
