I would first be suspicious of a minor-ish owie or injury, since it seems to be only in a certain area of her body.

Actually, I had a similar thing happen several years ago...not with my Yorkies, but with a stray cat...that showed up, bags and baggage, on my doorstep. The vet found an abscess on his leg which was not even visible, lanced it, and gave us pills for infection reduction and control. After the abscess healed, Frosty became the sweetest, most cuddly baby, even with my toddler granddaughter whom he 'adopted' her...she totally became 'his' and he would let no one mess with her and nothing happen to her. It was adorable !!! ;-)

If the vet gives your fur baby a clean bill of health...no injuries...no sore spots, etc., and you truly believe it is behavioral, you might try re-training her away from the behavior like other dogs would teach her to respect them...rather than the way a human would normally train...with 'reward' systems, etc.

Good luck.
