Like the others said, you can trim 'em a bit. You can also tape them up for the day and they should stand right back up the next day.

I didn't do the tape on the inside of the ear when I left it on for the day because I tried to the first time and he didn't like it, it probably tickled his ear a little.

I really only had it taped for about 9 hours and it did the trick! it didn't bother him either.
