Never.... lol. No typically he will sleep in until at least 10am. It's usually me getting us up and out of bed. If he can, he will sleep until 11. But I take him out for last potty around midnight most nights. He knows not to mess with my sleep. I would just be firm, but nice, and sort of give a little 'lay down' and he would go back to bed. I could always tell if he really needed to go or if he was just being a pain in the butt.

As a pup, of course, he was up early. I'd say by 6 months, though, he was a pretty good sleeper. The only time he's an early riser is at my dads house because there's kid off to school, other dogs, cats, etc, so a lot going on that he can't miss.

I'd get him a lot of exercise -- good exercise always makes for a more tired dog, maybe a later potty break.
