My Marley is 10# now. Our vet didn't want him to get over 8.5# No "Porkie Yorkies" he would say. But Marley doesn't seem fat and he's very active. My only concern is his knees. Weight becomes important as they age. My little guy is 6# now at 2 yrs old. He's a chow hound. Spends his morning "vacuuming" the kitchen floor for potato chip or popcorn crumbs. Vet said he shouldn't get bigger than 5#. I don't want my boys to have problems due to weight, but they don't seem "fat" to me.
