Not every dog whelp on day 63... i have had a few whelping dates varying from day 56 to day 72 and actually most went smooth... I only call for a c-section if it is really needed.
Sorry i am a bit tired but i am trying to make sense of what it is going on.
best luck,

I agree, I have a bitch that is like clock work, she whelps between day 60 and 63, then I had a retired one that whelped at day 68, unless I see signs of distress, pushing without producing a pup for 20 minutes, then I rush to the Vet, another sign is a greenish bloody discharge,it could mean that the placenta has detached and VET care is necessary, you know your bitch,
keep vigilant and alert other than that watch and love is all you can do for now...at this point I clean her vulva a couple of times a day with a white warm towel cloth, just to make sure she is not discharging anything that I can't see...
hugs,
