Brody and Mia were just over a year old when I got them and both had really long ear hair by that time. No one had taken care of ears with regard to getting them to stand, shaving, tipping them, etc., not even the groomer Brody saw once a month...but that may have been the former family's wish.

I was aware that ear taping is less successful, if at all, after Yorkies are a year old. Both Brody's and Mia's ears stood up higher after their ears were properly shaved and cut, though, and if I thought it would be worth putting them through it, even at this stage of their lives, I might do it, especially if I had 'local help' with experience taping ears. I have heard that their is a potential for harm if not done correctly...and I really do not want them harmed.

However, ears prick or somewhat floppy...they are precious babies, Brody and Mia, and I have no complaints! ;-)

Bless you for going through taping, though...and good luck with the teething. ;-)
