My boys had the strangest growing patterns (or non-patterns!). Dexter was 2.2lbs and Fletcher was 1.8lbs at 9 weeks old. At 1 year old, Dexter was 4.4lbs and Fletcher was 6.2lbs. During their 1-2 year period, Fletcher grew to 8.9lbs and Dexter grew to 5.5lbs. Now Dexter hoovers b/t 5.5lbs & 6lbs, But Fletcher I got him fixed later in life (at 4 years old) and now he shot up to 13.5lbs. He still is my lap puppy! I don't carry him around much, but luckily for me, he's not a needy dog that I need to carry around, he's way too curious to be held. He fills up my lap and spills off the sides depending on how he's sleeping, but believe me he can still curl into the tiniest ball and fit completely on my lap and stare up at me with his deep brown, all the love in the world eyes!
