The pet shop had cover all her medical bills so I only had to pay out of pocket for the emergency visit to the first vet But now to make a choice.. the vet says she off the IV meds and has been doing better, but they would like to take another culture to see if she has a resistant bacteria thats slow the healing process.. which would cost out of pocket 230 dollars.. What do you guys think should I do.. the vet says other wise everything else is ok... she's eating, playing, getting on like a puppy should only that she still had the inflammation in the lung. she said she could come home but I don't want her to get sick. HAS ANYONE HEARD OF A RESISTANT BACTRIA IN PUPS? please get back to me.. help
If it was me I would certainly have the test done. And yes, there can be resistant bactria. When they do the test they can tell what kind of bacteria it is and also should be able to tell what antibiotic will work.
Prayers still going out for Brandy and hoping she is feeling better soon.
