Wouldn't a proper diet provide all necessary minerals though? Is there something unique to water?
I would think so, but I have read that humans shouldn't drink distilled water for long periods of time and I'm assuming the same thing would be true of dogs. However, our dog’s food is probably more balanced than our own diet. If distilled or purified water is helping than I would simply ask my vet about it. Oh and another thing to complicate matters, some purified water has minerals added.
