I don't have a Yorkie, I have a Morkie, so she's half Yorkie. She's potty trained at 12 weeks and I never did anything except put the Potty Patch in the corner of the room, with a Nature's Miracle pad in the 'catch tray' for the absorption and scent. She waltzed right over to it, hopped on it, peed, stepped off, and went about her playtime like it was no big thing. I praised her lavishly..but she just looked at me like I was insane. She tilted her head as if to say, "what's the big deal, Mom?" ...she's been using it ever since for poopy and teetee both. I still praise her, and she still looks at me funny. =/
She learned how to sit and lay down in the same day, without treats. O_o I can't get her to sit still for hair bows, but that will come gradually (I hope).
In any case, I just wanted to add that I agree, Yorkies are smart (so are Morkies)
