To make de-booging a painless process, use a wet cotton ball (luke-warm water) to wet down the corner of the eye and into the mustache first. A lot of the boogies will come off with the cotton ball. Use a tiny flea comb (prongs placed very close together) to comb downward and remove the remaining gook. Finish by blotting with a dry cotton ball.

If the boogies are really bad, do this twice a day and they won't build up.

Sometimes hair in the eyes or seasonal allergies will make eye drainage worse. If the drainage is thick and green or yellow, see your vet.
