If he is an outdoor potty dog, then what might be useful, is to quickly band up his hair at top of legs and groin area. Just use child size soft scrunchies, then you can lift the banded hair up and over his back and use another soft scrunchie to keep long hair up off ground. It's a quick tie up, I do all of Razzle is less than 3 minutes (tip a show person showed me) when I had to take him outdoors before show. It works really well for a short tie up. Think ties would stay in for a good 30 minute walk or so.
I also shave belly area, but I do have a leg lifter and not a squatter.
