Our last two dogs, a Min Pin and Chihlula both pure breds had to have their covers. The Chihlula loved a fleese lined jacket or a blanket. We kept both on our couch. He was so small (6lbs) he would get all covered up and quest would almost sit on him he was so well hid. The Min Pin wasn't as bad but he was also slightly larger but still had to be covered when he slept.

We have had Gizmo and although we are not allowing him on the couch unless invited we have provided him a comfy bed and a nice blanket. He chooses to put his toys in the bed and sleep on top of the blanket beside me. The blanket is half of a regular blanket for a bed. I have noticed when he does sleep sometime he puts his paws over his eyes. My question is this. Does your Yorkies hide under blankets? Not sure this will make a difference but Gizmo is 8 lbs 4 oz.
