I'm not to sure about the console ones- they don't really seem that safe to me. The one I have goes in the back and buckles in- I put it in the middle too! I got him a large so he has sunggle room- I also put a blanket in there- I can't tell you how much he loves it!!

Its not so much what they like - all that matters is that they are as safe as possible!!
