I unfortunately have the same problem except the only difference is that my Reagan is not a pup. She is 1 1/2. She has not liked her crate since day one. She does tolerate it during the day when we are at work. I finally figured out to give her a kong to keep her busy until I am out the door for work in the morning. She has gotten used to that routine. She will never enter her crate unless we put her in it. She just absolutely hates it. As for at night she just whines and whines when she is in it. We have put her in bed with us since day one and unfortuntely at night she jumps off and pottys. I have laid down potty pads. I have tried the doggie litter. She still goes on the floor. I have tried to go back to crate her at night but the whining kills me. She is potty trained for the rest of the house it is just at night which is killing our carpet! I hate to crate her b/c she is crated all day. I feel she is spending most of her time in the crate. I feel for you b/c the whining is the worst. I wish I could help! |
