How about the harness actually called the Choke-Free Harness? It's leather, it's similar in style to the Buddy Belt, but no belt. You can get new ones on ebay or amazon for cheaper.

I have both the BB and the ChokeFree and like them for different reasons. ChokeFree seems less bulky, for sure, IMO. It's like a thinner leather.
