awwww I don't think you are being superficial at all! Its hard to see yourself change and not know exactly why. I'm sure with your medication conditions you've seen yourself at your best and worst and your hair was always something you liked about yourself, gave you self confidence, now to see it breaking and thinning is definitely traumatic for you. I would find a new doctor if possible and talk about options with meds and maybe something to help stop whatever is drying and breaking your hair. In the meantime, Paul Mitchell makes a volumizing mousse that is makes your hair sooooo thick it's incredible! I can't even use it because I have thick curly hair, but really try it!!! Also there are REALLY cute 'fake hair' extensions like ponytails and buns that are adorable. Can you wear something like that for a time until your own hair gets back to healthy?

(((HUGS))) You are not superficial!
