I am reading The Dog Listener and for biting she suggests you do what mom and siblings do, yell shrilly and walk away and don't play with her for a while. Just ignor her completely. She says it doesn't take long for them to learn that hurting you isn't allowed.
Heather did the right thing in a different way. I'm sure that in most cases it would take more than one time out. Sylvia |
