Maybe you could call the insurance about delaying the transfusion? Do you have a case manager? I know you are tired but try to make a few calls and see if they could help you. It is a shame he has to have such a bad weekend because they did not give him the transfusion
We are doing well... I am getting really nervous about the bmt but I really have faith it will be ok. We are both lucky...we have many praying for us.
Take care..and of course you and Ken and your family are in my prayers. |
Sounds like your girls are enjoying themselves!! I can imagine how nervous you must be to get the BMT done. Keeping you and DH in my prayers.
We don't have a case manager but we met with his oncologist today.
The oncologist said next Thursday will be Ken's last chemo. He also reduced the dosage of todays chemo to hopefully prevent the blood counts from going so low. He wants us to wait 3-4 weeks and schedule a CT scan and an appointment with him the day following the CT scan so we don't have to wait and worry about the results. If the cancer has remained stable or better he said we will discuss the pros and cons of maintenance chemo or taking a break and recheck in a few months. He said either way he is done with the chemo, that he has gotten all he will get out of it. I think he means the 2 drugs he was on not all chemo. So hopefully, he will be able to get the last treatment and take a long break. Your prayers and support have gotten us this far and if we could just ask for continued prayers for a good Ct scan next month. Thank you all so much. You will never know how much it has meant to us during this scary uncertain time.
