Good news for Gabby!!! My vet just called to give me the results of the urine culture and there is NO MRSA!! My first thought was "who do I believe"" .. but as I digested this information it occurred to me that IF it was there it would have shown up. My guess is there was a cross contamination in the first lab. I am horrified when I think of where our conversation was going last week.

The plan now is for her to start on Nitrofurantoin q8 for 2 weeks or longer...all will depend on urine c&s coming up negative. We will test her at 2 weeks to see how it is going.
