That's just horrible. I will say a prayer for sure.

I'm always fearful of the gate being left open at our house. I have trained myself to ALWAYS look at the gate first the moment we go outside (can't see it from inside the house), but for a while I didn't really think about it. I can well imagine how devastated they must be feeling.
