I think this is a sign of issues with the dog. Cesar Millan has had some good shows on this kind of thing. Lack of exercise is usually the biggest issue.

I don't think it's good for any person or animal to eat paper. Regardless of the fact that it comes from trees, it has been chemically treated, bleached, etc, and should not be ingested, IMO.

I have found that Oz can become very fixated on things - he will steal things like business cards, socks, etc. He will NOT give up on it even if you take it away, for a long time. I think because yorkies are hunters of rats, that's just part of the breed as well. They were bred to dig, tunnel, chase - and I'm sure most of us don't give our dogs the opportunity to do those things. I don't think people have to agree with everything Cesar says, but I believe he is right in that we must understand that our "babies" are first dogs, then the breed, then our companions.
