I wanted to add...at first my husband did not want to get a small "lap dog.". He didn't really pet her a lot and didn't really want her in the bed with us, etc.
I think Sophia saw him as "forbidden fruit" and had to earn his attention. I think that is why she likes to cuddle with him at night. The love they have for each other now is genuine and very sweet!
So, when we got Peyton I told my husband he HAD to love on him lots from the beginning so that Peyton wouldn't be the same way and see him as forbidden fruit.
So far, so good! Peyton sleeps next to me all night!
