I like cold cherry or grape tomatoes in my salad. They are sweet enough still that way. I like regular tomatoes room temp, but when they start to ripen up too much I do put them in the fridge.
However, I do also like hot tomatoes, as there are a few chinese dishes with quartered tomatoes (like beef and tomato duh
) where the tomatoes are cooked all the way through with the skins left on, barely hanging on. It has a nice almost sour taste to it, but still with the sweet. Oh haven't had that dish in ages.
