I haven't had morels in ages! I remembered they were really good. Also chanterelles. I also love enoki mushrooms. I kind of like portabellos, not love. Same with shiitake, I guess too "meaty" I like more delicate mushrooms.
Also I have not had the opportunity to have real truffles, I did have mac and cheese with truffle shavings, and I did not care for it one bit.
I hear great things about matsutake (sp?) mushrooms, supposedly really expensive mushrooms from Japan.
I don't care for white button mushrooms, esp raw. On a pizza they are ok, I won't pick them off if they are there (like I do with green bell peppers) but I won't specifically ask for them.
I had pickles oyster mushrooms, they were ok. Lobster mushrooms got my hopes up, they taste nothing like lobster. LOL
