i think you may have answered your own question with the toy thing . Look into the puzzle toys that you put a treat in and it takes them time to figure out how to get them out. Another thing that works at my house when i need a minute and i feel like they have been neglected (they are never but i feel bad now and then when i get busy) I give them a chew bone they love. That will occupy them for along while and give me some time to myself. Good luck and congrats
