lol Lexie is the same way with her favorite toy she pretty much tries to murder it, it sounds almost identical to the one you described except its a snake and has a rattle in the tail. It's called Invincible snake and its puncture proof. Not sure how it would hold up with your little ones but apart from looking a little beat up it's lasted a long time, had to get her a new one for Xmas!. I highly recommend it to anyone who's babies like to attack their toys
