He wasn't feeling real well and just wanted to be quiet. We also had a new puppy and she wouldn't stop trying to play. Poor Hot Rod had a number of teeth pulled. Finally the vet had me separate him for a couple of days. After 2 days he was feeling much better and was trying to run around.
The vet (ex-vet shortly after this procedure) had told me that the meds would not be necessary as he had some at their office and should be good to go. When Maggie was spayed she cried the first night. We were given pain meds by our new vet and she quieted right down and went to sleep. I just felt awful thinking back to how Hot Rod must have felt.
