So as I was cleaning up, I did get on to her. I told her that we do not tee tee on the carpet and she should be ashamed of herself. Well she started to do what we are calling 'backbarking.' Well, I'm not sure she would clearly be able to comprehend timeout. I think just a firm NO does the trick. I think the association (she's getting scolded thus she sasses back and then gets punished) is a bit too complex. A little too much anthropomorphism can turn a dog into alpha prreetty quick
