I buy a really skinny kind, and throw it away after each use, you could cut off the ends or nuke them if you were worried about bacteria, and wanted to use them more than once. Target sells some from Mexico and some from China. I don't know if the ones from Mexico are any safer. |
LOL I'm with you there. I make it a habit to only buy stuff my pack will eat that is made in the US. While not perfect, at least you would think the standards would be higher.
Although, I have been giving them this peanut butter bone thing from a brand called Pur Love, made in the US. The other night Smokey was gagging and coughing up a fit in the middle of the night, and threw up a bit. I turned on the light and saw a piece of the PurLove bone, about 1/2" long and halved lengthwise. I hadn't given them any of those bones since two days prior!
And those are all food product. So I'm not giving those anymore either. So frustrating!
