It's so important to realllllly thoroughly research these companies before sending them chunks of money. There are so many exclusions and limitations. It's not worth it a lot of the time.
After spending thousands and thousands on the Yorkie, we decided that we would not have another uninsured pet. We never want to be in a position where we can't get them the care they need if funds are low at the time. After much thought, I chose Petplan. I have been VERY happy so far. Looks like they will be paying out everything I think they should. We should be making money on the deal this year (he has been insured for 5 months at $45/month and we will get well over $250 back over some pee issues). It's all about finding a safe, reputable company and reading the policy very carefully.
