You're going to get all kinds of private messages based upon this post. I'd suggest you try to find a reputable breeder in California first.
One thing you can do is look at other peoples' past threads, look at people in California's dogs, see which ones you like and ask them where you got your dog.
Pick a breeder first- then a puppy.
