Yorkies are a commitment. Is your daughter going to be going to college while living at home? Can she afford off-campus housing with a place to take care of a Yokrie if she can't?
If it's a Yorkie for you, that's great, but I wouldn't get a Yorkie for a 13 year old honestly, there's no guarantee they'll be able to take care of it in 5 years.
