Did you get the powder? Not capsules? You can get Tylan compounded in capsules which is nice. It can get pricey though. For measuring the powder, some vets just say a "pinch". 1/3 of 1/16 - hmm. If you want to be very accurate, I think I'd be doing 1/8, then splitting that in half, then splitting that in thirds just by hand and eyeballing it. It is very bitter (and be careful you don't breathe the dust in when dealing with it). That combined with Ellie's esophagus not being able to tolerate much necessitated me putting it into capsules myself (either that or get it compounded which was going to cost like $1K/year/with shipping). |
