My Cailee is almost 7 months old and is certainly excitable too. She has so much energy and we try to walk her and Cody (almost 2 yrs old) every morning to "expend" all her energy. She will try to "bite" or nip, usually first thing in the morning. We always give her a firm "no" or "ouch" to let her know we don't like it.
Cody was very hyper when he was little. He has calmed down a lot but still is a very active boy at almost 2 years old.
Like others have said, "hang in there, it'll get better". It will. Good luck and enjoy your puppy.
