I found that Ziva wanted to take care of her more than I thought she would so I had to back off a little from keeping them so separate. I put the crates together at night and Ziva actually "cooed" to her! The first week was a little tense and standoffish but every week was better, by 30 days things were fine. Try to relax- it helped a lot!
Now they play "bite face", tug and squirrel patrol all day long! They do not lay/nap together or eat together (Abby is a pig ) |
Thats a great idea actually-thank you! I might bathe them both tomorrow b/c I think Brody is really put off by her scent. He wont even go near us anymore b/c WE smell like her. I am so upset by this....but I know I have to be patient.
With the food issue, shes obviously on puppy food (mixture of wet & dry), and he's an his adult Royal Canin...but she goes and eats HIS food and he goes and eats HERS! LOL....I'm not sure if I should allow this b/c I know she needs her puppy food for a reason (extra calories/fat and nutrients??) and I certainly dont want him eating hers b/c I'm trying to get him to lose some weight!
