Also if you adopt one a bit older, you will have a better idea of what they will look like at maturity. A mixed breed puppy can end up looking nothing like it's parent or littermates, really it's a crapshoot. Also you'll know their temperament as well. You can search petfinder.com and there are plenty of yorkiepoos available. Mixes really shouldn't be more than a few hundred dollars.

Also don't worry about papers. Mixed breed dogs shouldn't have papers, and if they do, would be from ACA, APRI, C(ontinental)KC, etc. Those registries are not legitimate registries, only AKC is, and even they are not perfect. AKC will not paper a mixed dog.
