DeWalt or Ridgid....for a good drill definately DeWalt. For a sawzall either Milwaukee or DeWalt. If looking a mitre saw make sure its compound (for trim work & future crown molding) and not just a chop saw, and go with 12" or bigger not just a lil 10" one.

I personally think Craftsman is now junk...same made in China cr*p as Harbor Freight, so make as well get basic wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers at Harbor Freight as they are alot cheaper (if you have a grandpa or someone willing to part with their old Craftsman tools...take 'em! same if you come across old Craftsman at garage sales..definately pick 'em up...they used to be good quality tools...)
