Actually, I think you did the right thing coming here. I see you've been a member since 2010. Ppl might have been able to help you w the CKC registration thing before you purchased a dog. CKC papers are essentially worthless. I'm sure you will love your dog no less, but it would have been nice to know.

Also, breeders own the "breeding rights" of their puppies. It is for them to decide whom they will allow to be bred and not bred - not the purchaser. They have control over their own line and rightfully so. A lot of reputable breeders also have in their contract that if the buyer is no longer able to provide a home for the pup, the dog is to be returned to the breeder or the breeder is to be contacted. Reputable breeders do not want their dogs bounced from home to home or want inexperienced ppl placing their dogs.

From the AKC breeders I know, they would be highly upset that their dog was bounced through 4 owners, was never neutered as was supposed to be, and now the 4th owner is calling them demanding breeding rights.

I hope I'm not coming off as rude; however, I thought you should understand the breeder's side of this. I wish you well, hope the pup has found her forever home, and will be well taken care of. From the breeder's standpoint though, I would be livvid if I were her/him.
