I'm another YTer who browses ads for Yorkies, really just looking as 2 furbabies is my limit. But I ran across an ad early one morning for a female yorkie being rehomed.
I emailed the seller and asked questions about the girl because my coworker wants a female only for her daughter whose little girl was hit by a car earlier this year.
I could not believe the reply. In answer to my questions she was CKC registered, intact, had a litter last year IS 3.4 POUNDS AND 6 YEARS OLD!!!

She told me that her little girl cost her $1600 'a few years ago' so she'd let me chose how much I'd pay for her.
I never responded. I had too many questions and concerns. She sent pictures of a very tired looking yorkie and it broke my heart to not snatch her up.
Her ad was flagged and removed twice. She didnt add what city she lived so I have no idea where this dog may be but I'm always amazed at people breeding their dogs til they can't anymore then trying to sell them off for many many dollars just to continue the money train.
This may not have been the case but that's what it felt like.
Whose up for a $1600 CKC registered yorkie???? aaaah, thought so.
I did ask her why she was rehoming her and she gave me the standard 'we just dont have time for her anymore'
