My little girl is 1 year 7 months and I have her trained to go on pads. I never let her out because we live in the country too many coyotes. Anyways our baby got potty trained in 3 to 4 months. They do have accidents because they are puppies and don't remember all the time. We never holler or spank we used patience. If she had an accident we would be patient and tell her honey pee pee on the papers. Also we confined her to the kitchen so she knew her pee pad was where to go. It takes time and patience your baby will catch on. It is hard when you are working and no body around. Also I like the pee pad because she doesn't have to go out in the cold. Our last beloved baby had IBD so the pads were wonderful for her. Now we travel in our motorhome and it is nice she can go on her pad while on the road. Give it time and it will work out some take a little longer than others. Sometimes when they do have an accident give him a hug and kiss and show him his pee pad.Hope this helps but it is love and patience and no hollering.Susan
