You can say that about every problem there is, should we just give up, or be apathetic? If you look at other countries, you will see that the United States has done some great things in regards to making people aware of the needs of dogs. In other countries, the dog problem is so severe, they don't spay and neuter and there are no pounds to put to sleep the leftovers, so the dogs starve to death on the streets. While I hate the thought that healthy dogs are being put to sleep, it's a lot better than watching them starve to death. We are also making progress on the puppy mill situation, years ago, people didn’t care at all, but now a significant majority do care about the treatment in mills. I will be forever grateful to the people at Yorkietalk who came before me and educated me, on why it's important to choose the best breeder you can find, and also how to find a great breeder, and I'm here because I want to give this message to others. One thing, I want to remind you of, is that every dog sold that’s a mixed breed, is sold on open registration, unless they have been neutered by the breeder first. Let’s not forget A FEMALE DOG AND HER OFFSPRING CAN BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE BIRTH OF 67,000 DOGS!
