I know there are differing opinions on this, but my vet frowned when I told him we were using pee pads and taking her outside as well. He said it's hard to train them to pads and then transition them to go outside exclusively. He suggested crate training; no pads. Because of our schedules we are able to do this without leaving her for extended periods of time. The only time she has run of the house is when we can keep a constant eye on her. She is doing very well, and of course has accidents (or should I say we have the accidents by not watching her close enough), but then she is only 13 weeks old. Just thought I would throw this out for consideration.
