both mine used to be very tired after an appointment - probably because they are stressed while being groomed and it just takes alot out of them - by the time you get them home - they're just soooo relieved to be home they lay down and sleep contently - At least I HOPE that's why they used to be so tired....

When I picked her up, she wasn't that anxious to get to me (I thought this was a good sign) She finally walked across the counter to me and gave me a snuggle (no xx-excitment including accidental lick up my nostrils or across my entire face which is the normal greeting)

Hello, Villette. My reasoning for thinking that her dog was sedated was from the above. My babies are tired when we get home, like yours but if they were not excited to see me when I picked them up, I would have to wonder what was wrong with them. I know my first thot would be that they had picked up a virus at the groomers. I don't know how sterile they keep a grooming shop but when my babies would act better later or the next day that is what I would attribute it to, a virus. I have often wondered if they sedated some hyper dogs or dogs they know bite or nip. I would hope if they were sedating dogs they would get permission. What would happen if your dog were alergic to what they were administering? Anyways, I have my suspicions. Sylvia
