Default Brothers

I had the good fortune to take care of Yogi and Gracie Ruth's brother, Pablo the other week. Pablo and Yogi are littermates and for a very brief time, looked like twins. But Pablo decided he was done grown at 2 1/2 lbs and Yogi...well I don't think he's found a weight/height that he's satisfied with yet. He was 5 1/2 lbs at his last doctor visit. Now I understand that 5 1/2 lbs is still a small Yorkie, but next to 2 1/2 lbs he seems like a mutant Yorkie.

The brothers had a blast running, playing and rough housing together again. It's like they'd never been seperated. It was a blast to watch them play. We have a rule of no stealing toys. Basically, if you are touching it, it's yours. Pablo, however, was unaware of and seemed to have no intention of, following this rule. Yogi likes to tease his sister by walking up to her with a toy in his mouth and pushing her with his paw. The first time he did this to Pablo, Pablo turned around, latched onto the toy and pulled with all his whole 2 1/2 lb might. I thought Yogi's eyes were going to pop out of his head!! He couldn't believe that Pablo had ahold of the other end of froggy. And that little Pablo has all the tenacity of his bigger brother and he pulled, and pulled, and pulled until he pulled Yogi across the wood floor to the area rug where his footing was better and only lost his hold on froggy when he tried to get a better bite. Yogi ran with froggy like the devil himself was after him. And he was! Pablo was hot on Yogi's tail and determine to get froggy for his very own. It went on like this pretty much for the entire time Pablo stayed with us. One brother running with froggy while the other was in hot pursuit.

Of course all the running brought out G's police mode and she'd stand in the middle of the room waiting for them to run by and she'd bark her orders at them to slow it down. But, typical boys, they completely ignored her. Then they'd all get tuckered out and climb up onto the couch and hunkered down with Boo on the blankets to rest up for the next round.

Needless to say, I didn't get a lot done around the house while Pablo was staying with us. I just couldn't tear myself away from watch the brothers playing together.
