Chewie used to do this when he was young--dang, those little puppy teeth are sharp!! He'd nip my ankles and play tug-of-war with my pants legs--it became a real problem. When it happened, I'd try to distract him with a suitable toy (I also made sure to have lots of chewy toys around). If he kept going for my leg, I'd immediately put him in puppy time-out behind a baby gate and ignore him for just a few minutes. Thankfully, it pretty much subsided by the time he quit teething.
